Last month, Hardware-Pacers reviewed Microsoft's
new LifeCam VX-6000 webcam. The VX-6000
is one of the best (quite possibly the best) webcam the hardware-pacers team has
seen. With that being said, Hardware-Pacers staff wondered what the VX-3000
(Microsoft's slightly scaled down version of the VX-6000) would have to offer.
Amazingly, the VX-3000 is also a high performance webcam that will give other webcam
manufacturers a run for the money. The VX-3000's 640x480 video resolution is
comparable to the other top end webcams that are in the under $100 price range,
but there are fewer quality cams with this resolution in the under $50 price
range. User’s can still share meaningful connections with friends and
family with sight and sound all through the convenience of the internet coupled
with the innovations of the LifeCam. Just like the VX-6000, a user can simply connect the LifeCam and after the quick install of the
Microsoft LifeCam software (included with purchase) the user will be ready to
share all of life’s experiences in real time video over the web. The VX-3000’s capability
is great; with 640x480 video and a price under $50, Microsoft has created a
great home computer camera that easily compares to other systems on the market today.
