Manufacturer:

Zippy

Author:

Mikhail Kagan

Introduction:

Zippy was founded in April 1983 and began to develop switches, which specialized in mold tooling and material engineering. With the success of the Switch Division in the company a new division was created in 1993, the Power Division. To the response of a high demand of wireless keyboards, a Keyboard Division was made in 1997, which now provides Illuminated Keyboards to laptop keyboard modules. Furthermore, the Keyboard Master (NetLink Technology) became the only certified distributor for Zippy Keyboards as of Oct. 2003.

In the age before the Slim Illuminated Keyboard EL 715, there were ordinary bulky keyboards that could not be seen in the dark. When it was dark the user had to be forced to turn on a bright light. With the new Electron luminescence design the solution has been created to illuminate keyboards. The EL 715 glows a sapphire color and as the environment becomes darker, the keyboard glows brighter. The El 715 keys are extraordinary thin and produce hardly any noise when typed on. This keyboard was defiantly designed for night PC users.
