Well the PS3 and Xbox specs are 'very' alike, the PS3 might have 2 'Teraflop' FPP, but it lacks encoded hardware performance that is included in the Xbox360 that MS has patented for the Xbox!
Checking out the games on both, they both look alike, performance wise, but once developers get a hang of the console and the 2nd and 3rd Gen titles roll out for each system, I think you`ll find the only diffrence between the Xbox360 and PS3 will be extra functionality (aka live over sony network), etc
Graphically, they are both superior looking.
I think the Xbox360 will have the edge over the PS3 though, MS know marketing, with the current Xbox they have given players exactly what they want, plus the Xbox360 has other functions and compatibility with other everyday items, that the PS3 does not, aka iPod, Mobile Phone, blah blah blah
In the end, thiers games that only hit each system specifically, which is why we end up buying both or maybe the revolution will entice us to buy all 3, who knows, or cares, the company that will deliver will raine supreme, and visitors of the E3 Expo that had hands on, suggested that the MS next gen console, which is also very sexy I might add, 'HAS' the upper edge over the PS3, in release schedule, 40 odd launch titles, HUGE developer support, a crazy statistic fan base that grows every minute!
I think the old days of being a fanboy or a biggot are over, the Xbox360 might outsell and out perform the PS3, but who cares? sony wont, it will still have a HUGE userbase, I mean theirs like BILLIONS of people on this planet! theirs room for Nintendo, MS and Sony, and these 3 next gen machines all offer something diffrent to each other, which is why all 3 will live out a 4 to 5 year FULLY SUPPORTED life span, maybe longer!
I say lap it up, becuase if the past 10 years of competition didnt come down to these company's wanting your $, then the consoles coming out tomorrow would not be near the specs of pure power as they are coming out as!
It works for everyone, in one way, shape or form.
